1. Introduction
Alumnia ("we," "our," or "us") is an alumni community management platform available on the web, iOS, and Android. We are committed to the safety and protection of children. This document outlines our standards and practices for preventing, detecting, and responding to child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) across all Alumnia platforms and applications.
2. Zero-Tolerance Policy for CSAE
Alumnia maintains a zero-tolerance policy toward child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) in any form. We strictly prohibit the creation, distribution, storage, or solicitation of child sexual abuse material (CSAM) on our platform. This policy applies to all users, including organization administrators, community members, and any other individuals who access or interact with the Alumnia platform.
Any user found to be in violation of this policy will be subject to immediate account termination and referral to the appropriate law enforcement authorities.

4. Detection and Prevention
Alumnia employs a combination of proactive and reactive measures to detect and prevent CSAE on our platform:

- User Reporting: All users have access to in-app reporting mechanisms to flag suspected CSAE content or behavior (see Section 5)
- Account Verification: Alumnia requires users to be at least 16 years of age and access is restricted to verified alumni communities with administrator oversight
- Review Processes:Reports of suspected CSAE are prioritized and reviewed by our Trust & Safety team within 24 hours
5. In-App User Reporting
Alumnia provides in-app mechanisms for users to report content and behavior that may violate our child safety standards. Users can report concerns by:
- Using the report or flag functionality available on user profiles, messages, and content throughout the platform
- Contacting our Trust & Safety team directly via the child safety contact email listed in Section 8 below
- Notifying their organization's administrator, who has the ability to take immediate moderation action and escalate to the Alumnia Trust & Safety team
All reports are treated with the highest priority and confidentiality. We do not disclose the identity of reporters to the reported party.
6. Handling of CSAM
When CSAM or suspected CSAE activity is identified on the Alumnia platform, we follow a strict response protocol:
- Immediate Removal: Identified CSAM is removed from the platform immediately upon detection or report confirmation
- Account Action: The account associated with the violation is immediately suspended and permanently banned from the platform
- Law Enforcement Reporting:We report all confirmed or suspected CSAM to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) via the CyberTipline, and cooperate fully with law enforcement agencies
- Evidence Preservation: Relevant evidence is preserved in compliance with applicable legal requirements and made available to law enforcement upon lawful request
- User Notification: If appropriate and not prohibited by law, affected users or organizations may be notified of the action taken
